FARA 3 Hours of Miami

Oct 16 Homestead - FARA 3 hrs of Miami; In a Rain soaked race, the Web Safety Radical SR3 1500 driven by IMSA Lts Pilot Brian Fowler & British pro driver “speedy Dan” Clarke took 3rd place overall.  Due to a technical error in qualifying, Dan Clark was gridded back of the pack for the start. When the green flag dropped, he quickly made his move thru the spray of the field and when he came around on Lap 1 he was in P1 with a 5 sec lead over the corvettes.  The conditions were challenging and ranged from steady rain to downpours. The Dunlop wets were up to the challenge and pumped an impressive Rooster tail almost 12 feet in the air behind the car. The SR3 performed flawlessly thru the banked circuit at Homestead. Unfortunately, during stint 2, the rain became heavier and Brian Fowler had visibility issues in his helmet which caused two unscheduled pit stops to get Speedy back in the car. With 40 minutes to go, the rain eased up and Brian got back in the car to take it home for a podium finish. Radical East USA congratulates Brian & Dan on a solid race.

2011 Challenge Cup Winner to choose from Brands Hatch or Silverstone Venue
 
With the momentum building toward the exciting new HSR Radical Challenge Cup Series, Radical announced today the winner of five-race Series 2011 Championship will receive a full factory sponsored entry in one of two rounds in the  2012 Radical European Master Series.
 
While the winner is responsible for travel and lodging, upon arrival at the track he or she will be provided with a race-ready factory prepared Radical 'Werks' SR3 Supersport complete with full track support from the factory Werks team. The driver will choose between 2012 Radical European Masters rounds at Brands Hatch or Silverstone.

Radical East USA Announces HSR Radical Challenge Cup Series

Spec series promotes competitive cost-effective racing for the gentleman driver.

Nov. 10, 2010  Jupiter Fla. - In conjunction with Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR), Radical East USA announced today they will launch a new racing Series aimed toward creating competitive cost-effective open cockpit prototype racing for the gentleman driver.
 
Featuring the highly successful open cockpit Radical SR3 RS Le Mans-style prototype racer,  the series is slated to appear at HSR events throughout North America. The tentative 5 race schedule will feature such historic venues as Sebring International Raceway, the road course at Daytona Speedway and the scenic natural terrain circuit of Road Atlanta, home to such legendary events as the 10 hour Petit Le Mans and 'The Mitty.'

• Looking to build on the increasing worldwide popularity of Radicals unique single marquee racing concept, Radical East USA proposes a new Spec series with emphasis on cost effective competitive racing for gentleman drivers utilizing the New Radical SR3 RS. New Ferrari F430 GTC Completes First Test Yesterday at Sebring

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (December 17, 2009) – Extreme Speed Motorsports, the new race team created and owned by veteran race car driver Scott Sharp, has revealed the driver lineup to compete for the team in the American Le Mans Series’ GT2 class in 2010. The announcement follows a successful day of testing the team’s first new Ferrari F430 GTC at Sebring International Raceway – the car’s first run on American soil after arriving from the factory in Italy.

“The Ferrari F430 is beautiful, and definitely one of the best handling cars I have ever driven,” Sharp said today. “The team is incredibly enthusiastic about our relationship with Ferrari, and I’m very excited that we are already hitting the track, testing.”

The team will compete with two cars, one piloted by Sharp and Johannes van Overbeek, and the other with Ed Brown and Guy Cosmo behind the wheel. Tequila Patrón, a longtime supporter of motorsports racing, has signed on as a sponsor, along with Ferrari Corse Clienti and the team’s official tire sponsor Michelin.
